We all have challenges we face…
The part of this climb that sets it apart from other
Kilimanjaro treks is we are designing into the process an opportunity for each
of us to learn more about the entire group in advance. That includes the
Africans who will be helping us on the mountain.
WHAT I REMEMBER MOST?
So many times we have seen people engage in an event with the
accomplishment being the motivating force.
Yet at the end of the day, and in the years to come, the most
meaningful and most powerful memories
are from the relationships that developed as part of accomplishing that event.
THIS CLIMB IS ALSO ABOUT:
- Having your African Guide share with you what life is
like below you, in the rest of Africa.
- Connecting to the African world by learning a few basic
ways to communicate in the local language.
- Sharing how your experience relates to the lives of
those who are helping you climb Kilimanjaro.
- Being part of a world community and contemplating how
our lives affect and are affected by those on another continent.
- Eating some local foods. Some treks never ever eat things that are a
basic part of the local diet.
- Opportunities to learn more about ways to help improve
our world by sharing with the people you will meet.
WE ARE NOT ALONE!!!
